By a Sister For a Sister is not about handouts. Your donation is not buying food. Your donation sustains our group to provide much-needed supplies (sewing machines, materials, technology) for the women to create the art that they sell to make their livelihoods.

About Your Donations, Where & How They are used
All donations made to By a Sister For a Sister are used to purchase resources needed for the women in our group to create the artwork they sell – beaded scarves, belts, sandals, earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and more.
Your donation doesn’t put food on a table for a meal. Your donation helps sustain a family to be able to put food on their table continuously.

Sewing Machines
Sewing machines allow women to create scarves, belts, bags, sandals, and more. Without machines (and maintenance for the sewing machines) we would not be able to create all of the artwork that sustains us.
Technology
Purchasing and maintaining a laptop computer allows us to reach beyond our own community to the global community to share our stories and our art.
